Share Your Skills

Do you have a skill you are burning to share with us?

“Self-expression” is a special time for the Montessori adolescent. Building and discovery of self happens side by side with an adult, in a social setting.

Our middle school is looking for adults who can commit 1.5 hours each Wednesday to share a skill with our middle students. Ideas are endless: woodworking, jewelry making, playing a guitar… While you may not consider yourself an expert, please consider sharing your skill with our eager teens. You would work with 5 students each week for a six week block.

Our middle school students love to engage their body and mind via different avenues of self-expression.
What secret skill do you own?

Don’t let us wait. Message us now :)

  1. I am an architect and could help lead a playground or house design or building design project with a small group students. I also curate a kid-friendly ArtPrize venue every year and could lead an in-depth tour of the work we select for our venue, the stories behind the artwork, introduce several artists, and talk about what to look for when viewing art. I can also teach adobe photoshop, guitar, and chess.

  2. Delia Venema says:

I am a MI certified K-12 art educator. I also have a professional relationship with the Grand Rapids Art Museum and am very comfortable with their collection.
